Major Medical Breakthrough in the spotlight

Add Verb Productions' Major Medical Breakthrough, a play developed with Bingham funding, was the subject of a Channel 6 News story earlier this week.  The play is designed to give medical professionals information on why and how to screen for domestic violence when seeing patients.  Both of the women interviewed in the clip are recipients of funding under the Bingham Program's initiative to change the cultural acceptance of violence against women and children.  Cathy Plourde, author of Major Medical Breakthrough, is the executive director of Add Verb Productions and Amy Coha, the second interviewee, received funding for research into the prevalence and results of screening for domestic violence by couples' counselors.
