It doesn’t necessarily take a lot of time, money or resources.
1. Educate yourself on the issues surrounding domestic and sexual violence;
learn about the myths and misconceptions and some of the cultural norms
that allow sexual and domestic violence to continue.
2. Encourage your workplace to offer sexual harassment and workplace
domestic violence training.
3. Hold perpetrators accountable for their actions; they are the only ones
responsible for the violence.
4. Challenge sexist language and jokes when you hear them.
5. Include men and boys in conversations and activities surrounding sexual
and domestic violence prevention.
6. Invite sexual assault and domestic violence prevention educators to come
talk with your business or community organization.
7. Contact your legislators and ask them to support organizations working to
end sexual and domestic violence.
8. Refuse to support companies that use objectification of women’s bodies to
sell their products.
9. Support organizations that provide support, advocacy, and prevention
services to victims of domestic and sexual violence by donating your time
or money.
10. Create a home environment that promotes healthy relationships and does
not tolerate violence.
